Roles & Responsibilities

• Decontaminate drills, DaVinci systems, and scopes with precision to ensure patient safety
• Master sterilization processes using sterrad and steam methods
• Perform high-level disinfection and handle scopes expertly
• Manage sterile storage to keep everything ready for action
• Act as OR liaison, handling calls and coordinating across surgery floors
• Utilize Censitrac tracking system to streamline operations
• Move case carts, separate dirties, and fill needs for upcoming cases
• Assemble sets and trays while serving as a vital link between OR and CSS sites

Qualifications

• 3 years of sterile processing experience required
• CBSPD or CRCST certification through HSPA
• Travel experience a must
• Trauma Level II experience required, Level I preferred
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Note: Former OSU employees need not apply

Education

• CBSPD or CRCST certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in decontamination, sterilization, and HLD
• Proficient with Censitrac tracking, DaVinci, drills, and scopes
• Skilled in case cart preparation, aseptic technique, and instrument assembly
• Familiar with automated endoscope reprocessors and Medivator
• Knowledge of flexible endoscope reprocessing including bronchoscopes and TEE probes
• Experience across specialties like robotics, ortho, and urology
