Roles & Responsibilities

Scrub in on life-saving CVOR procedures across all patient populations from neonate to geriatric
Function independently within protocols to support the surgical team
Execute unit tasks assigned by RNs with precision and care
Maintain patient confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in high-stakes environments

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist
Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) specialty experience
BCLS Certification
National Certification (NCCT, AST, NBSTSA, CST, TS-C)

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (required for hires post-2009)

Knowledge & Skills

Scrub responsibilities for diverse patient populations
Proficiency in computer and keyboarding skills
Tact, diplomacy, and sound judgment
Ability to work independently within established protocols
