Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients
Operate advanced medical equipment and manage central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, arterial lines, multiple IVs, and short-term ventilation support
Deliver skilled care for diverse patient populations including pediatrics, post-PCI, CHF, COPD, sepsis, and surgical services
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Act as a clinical leader, precept staff, and guide RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and support staff
Oversee patient care from admission to discharge, including effective discharge planning

Qualifications

Current State of Montana RN Licensure
BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required or obtained within 6 months of hire
Practice experience in advanced Medical/Surgical Unit and recent Critical Care or Progressive Care Nursing
EPNC, TNCC certifications preferred
Pediatric experience preferred

Education

Degree from a Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

EKG interpretation and cardiac telemetry
Advanced nursing principles and procedures
Use of basic office equipment and multiple IV pumps
Invasive and noninvasive ventilatory support
Skilled assessment and intervention for potentially deteriorating conditions
