Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of 45 FTEs across Plant Operations, Maintenance, and Environmental Services
• Set clear customer service expectations and deliver top-notch training for your staff
• Direct maintenance on utility systems to ensure uninterrupted heat, steam, power, and oxygen for patient care
• Inspect equipment rigorously and schedule preventative maintenance to uphold the highest standards
• Oversee outside contractors for full compliance with hospital policies and regulations
• Act as a vital liaison with departments to assess needs and craft action plans that deliver results
• Champion compliance with NFPA, OSHA, EPA, CMS, and local codes for a safe environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of personnel management experience
• Knowledge of electricity, electronics, plumbing, carpentry, boiler operation, HVAC, general building maintenance
• Familiarity with autoclaving, bio-waste, life safety codes, construction phasing, and environmental services operations
• Ability to apply engineering principles and repair malfunctioning equipment
• Willingness to relocate to a rural area

Education

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in engineering principles, electricity, electronics, plumbing, carpentry, boiler operation, HVAC, and general building maintenance
• Skilled in autoclaving, bio-waste handling, life safety codes, construction phasing, and environmental services operations
• Strong personnel management and leadership abilities
• Proficiency in regulatory compliance including NFPA, OSHA, EPA, CMS
