Shift Type: Varies depending on assignment, typically 8-hour shifts with start times varying; possible schedules include Wednesday-Sunday or Thursday-Monday

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
Perform bedside swallow studies and video swallowing assessments
Develop individualized treatment plans for stroke, TBI, and neuro patients
Collaborate with PT, OT, and rehab aides for comprehensive patient care
Document patient progress using Cerner Powerchart EMR
Float to assigned areas as needed to support patient care across the facility

Qualifications

Current CCC-SLP certification required
BLS certification required
Minimum one year of experience preferred
Experience with bedside swallow studies required
Video swallowing studies experience preferred
Trauma experience preferred
Travel experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment skills for stroke, TBI, and neuro patients
Proficiency with Cerner Powerchart EMR
Ability to manage varied caseloads across inpatient and outpatient settings
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Flexibility to float between assigned areas
