Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients on a 28-bed PCU/Med-Surg unit
Administer chemotherapy and titrate drips such as insulin and Cardizem with precision and care
Monitor ventilators and hemodynamic lines while delivering attentive, patient-centered nursing
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, dietitians, and educators to optimize outcomes
Float to same-level-of-care units while maintaining excellent standards and teamwork
Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives that make a real difference

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
EPIC experience within the last 6 months preferred
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing
Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
EPIC electronic medical record system
Alaris IV pumps and specialty lift equipment
Strong teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and patient advocacy
