Location: Canon City, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shift and night shift, self-scheduling with balanced schedule provided to manager; 3 weekends in a 6-week schedule, rotating holidays, call requirement per census

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $75 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns in a supportive LDRP environment
Monitor fetal heart rates and titrate critical drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, Insulin, and D10
Collaborate with a close-knit team to ensure safe deliveries and positive birth experiences
Respond to call shifts as needed to support the unit during high-census periods
Float within Zone 1 when census allows to support neighboring departments

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
ACLS, NRP, AWHONN EFM, and STABLE certifications required
LDRP experience with comfort managing titratable drips and EFM monitoring
Ability to read and interpret own fetal monitoring strips

Knowledge & Skills

Strong LDRP clinical skills including high-BMI, diabetes, and substance-use patient populations
Proficiency with OBIX EFM system and bubble CPAP equipment
Comfort working with minimum staffing of two to three RNs per shift
Flexibility to self-schedule while maintaining balanced coverage
