Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized, compassionate care to neonates in a Level III NICU environment
Monitor and manage ventilators and central lines for critically ill newborns
Collaborate with OB/GYNs, Neonatologists, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
Float to Mother-Baby or L&D units to support newborn transitions and well-baby care
Follow AWHONN/NANN staffing guidelines to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
Serve as a safety advocate when floating to other units as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum three years of NICU nursing experience
Strong critical thinking, communication, and multitasking abilities
Ability to work independently with the neonatal population
Valid driver's license for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Ventilator management and central line care
Neonatal assessment and critical care
Floating comfortably between NICU, Mother-Baby, and L&D
Following evidence-based AWHONN/NANN guidelines
Team collaboration with OB Hospitalists and Neonatology experts
