Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including weekends (4 weekend shifts per 8 weeks)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to neuro telemetry patients, including those with CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, and other complex conditions
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, titrate drips (Amio, Cardizem, Insulin) as needed
Perform thorough assessments, administer medications, and maintain sterile field during procedures like Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Collaborate with a dynamic team in a fast-paced, high-turnover unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
Provide bedside report and ensure seamless transitions of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona (or compact state)
Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a Level 1 Trauma center
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Neuro telemetry experience highly preferred
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
Ability to pass a SIMs lab competency (Foley catheter insertion, central line dressing changes) on day 1 of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Skilled in medication titration (Heparin, Amio, Cardizem, Insulin drips)
Experience with Cerner EMR
Strong sterile technique and infection control practices
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
