Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery and postpartum patients, including high-risk deliveries and triage assessments
• Circulate during C-sections and assist with emergency deliveries
• Float between L&D, postpartum, and NICU to care for stable newborns and grower/feeders as needed
• Monitor fetal heart tracings using the FetalLink system and collaborate with providers
• Collaborate with charge nurse, OB techs, and neonatologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care in Cerner EMR and adhere to AWOHNN guidelines

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in California or compact state
• Minimum 2-3 years of recent L&D and postpartum experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
• Fetal monitoring certification (AWOHNN intermediate or advanced)
• C-section circulation experience required
• Stable certification preferred
• Prior travel contract experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in fetal monitoring and interpreting tracings
• Experience with Cerner EMR and FetalLink systems
• Knowledge of AWOHNN nursing guidelines
• Ability to handle high-risk obstetric patients and emergency situations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to float across units
• Spanish language skills a plus
