Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling, every third weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients and postpartum mother-baby couplets
Monitor fetal heart tracings using OB Trace Vue EFM system
Titrate medications including magnesium sulfate, oxytocin, and other drips as ordered
Assist with neonatal resuscitation and supportive care for newborns on CPAP, BiPAP, or high flow
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes
Float to assist in ED or medical/surgical as needed for patient sitting and support

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent L&D or LDRP nursing experience required
Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Ability to pass fit testing (no facial hair that interferes with mask seal) - PAPR not available on site
Strong teamwork, communication, and independence skills for a rural hospital setting

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EFM interpretation and titrating drips (magnesium, oxytocin, etc.)
Comfortable with neonatal respiratory support equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, high flow)
Knowledge of AWHONN staffing guidelines and patient ratios
Ability to work autonomously in a resource-limited rural environment
