Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, plus rotating 8-hour shifts (7a-3p, 3p-7p, 7p-11p, 11p-7a), every other weekend, self-schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse mix of PCU, Oncology, and Med/Surg patients
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for side effects (preferred but not required)
Titrate drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Maintain a 1:4 (PCU) or 1:5 (Med/Surg) nurse-to-patient ratio
Float to other Med/Surg and PCU units as needed within the same level of care

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent PCU and Oncology nursing experience
First-time travelers are welcome
Chemotherapy certification preferred
Must pass an open-book pass/fail exam on skills during orientation
Current driver's license required for radius rule verification
No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC EMR
Experience with Alaris IV pumps and hemodynamic monitoring
Knowledge of oncology patient diagnoses and treatments
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, diverse patient population
