Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-26-2026

End Date: 08-25-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide hands-on physical therapy to a diverse caseload of 12+ patients daily
Support recovery for medical, surgical, orthopedic, and stroke patients across ICU, ER, and medical-surgical units
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create personalized rehab plans
Help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence during critical stages of healing
Document progress and adjust treatment strategies to maximize outcomes

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification
Acute Inpatient PT experience strongly preferred
Comfortable working across multiple hospital departments

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and treatment planning skills for acute care patients
Ability to manage a fast-paced inpatient caseload
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptable approach to treating varied diagnoses including ortho, neuro, and deconditioned patients
