Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, various start times including 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to oncology and PCU patients on a mixed unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients during treatment
Manage drips including heparin, cardizem, and insulin
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed
Practice hourly rounding to enhance patient experience

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of oncology and PCU experience required
Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
First-time travelers welcome
Charge nurse experience preferred (1 year minimum)

Knowledge & Skills

Oncology nursing and chemotherapy administration
PCU/MedSurg nursing skills
Knowledge of common drips (heparin, cardizem, protonix)
EPIC proficiency preferred
Strong teamwork and communication skills
