Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), self-scheduling with cyclic rotation, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing orthopedic surgeries and medical-surgical conditions
Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and manage pain
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery plans
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety protocols

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS certification required
Valid driver's license
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg or Ortho experience preferred
Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and every other weekend

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of orthopedic post-surgical care and rehabilitation
Proficiency in medication administration and IV therapy
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills for documentation
