Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care on the telemetry unit during overnight hours
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to arrhythmias and alarms
• Perform thorough assessments and document changes in patient condition clearly and timely
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, effective care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, telemetry findings, and discharge plans
• Maintain a safe environment by following infection control policies and unit procedures

Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in California or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Telemetry experience or comfort working with continuous cardiac monitoring
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, patient-first attitude
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program and current RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring basics
• Solid knowledge of medication administration and IV therapy
• Skilled in patient assessment, triage, and escalation of care when needed
• Accurate, timely clinical documentation and electronic charting
• Teamwork, critical thinking, and effective communication with patients and staff
