Location: Carmichael, CA

Start Date: 07-07-2026

End Date: 10-06-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with rotating weekends as needed

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $82 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive initial assessments for patients admitted to the hospital
Perform utilization review using Interqual criteria to ensure appropriate level of care
Develop and implement discharge plans in coordination with patients, families, and healthcare team
Manage complex cases including uninsured and homeless populations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and timely transitions of care
Document all activities in Cerner electronic medical record

Qualifications

Active California RN license required
Current BLS certification
Recent prior experience with Dignity Health or CommonSpirit facilities in California
Experience in case management and utilization review
Familiarity with Interqual criteria (training available) and Cerner EMR preferred
Strong communication, teamwork, and prioritization skills

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of discharge planning and utilization review processes
Ability to work with diverse patient populations including uninsured and homeless
Proficiency in Interqual criteria and Cerner EMR
Effective collaboration and communication skills
Ability to reprioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
