Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, trauma-informed nursing care to patients on the MST unit during overnight coverage
Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly and promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and escalate urgent issues
Provide crisis intervention and supportive communication for patients with complex needs
Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure continuity of care during handoffs

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or eligibility to obtain one
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; advanced certifications a plus
Clinical nursing experience, ideally with exposure to trauma-informed care, behavioral health, or acute care
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
Comfort working independently overnight and as part of a collaborative team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Trauma-informed care principles and sensitivity to patient needs
Patient assessment, vital signs, and monitoring
Medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
Clear, timely electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
Ability to manage crises and de-escalate challenging situations
