Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for MST patients
Assess patient condition, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Document patient care clearly in the electronic medical record
Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity
Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and assist in emergency situations
Maintain infection control and patient safety standards at all times

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or compact RN with CA eligibility)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred where applicable
Clinical experience in nursing; experience with MST specialty is a plus
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work per-diem shifts, including weekend availability

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Thorough knowledge of nursing process and patient assessment
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation
Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Patient and family education techniques
