Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care on a Med/Surg unit—assess, plan, implement and evaluate
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to support smooth patient transitions
Monitor patient status and intervene promptly for changes in condition
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

Current RN license in New Hampshire or compact RN licensure (active and in good standing)
Demonstrated Med/Surg nursing experience (experience preferred but new grads with Med/Surg training encouraged to apply)
BLS certification required; ACLS or other specialty certifications encouraged where applicable
Strong clinical assessment, IV and medication administration skills
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred where available.

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of Med/Surg best practices and patient safety
Proficient with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
Skilled in patient assessment, wound care basics and IV therapy
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond calmly in fast-paced situations
Teamwork, patient education and family-centered care skills
