Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and score in-patient sleep studies accurately and efficiently
• Set up, download and troubleshoot home sleep studies for outpatients
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of study findings and patient notes
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during overnight studies, using proper monitoring
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary hospital team to support patient care
• Maintain and calibrate polysomnography equipment and report any issues
• Provide patient education on sleep study procedures and follow-up expectations

Qualifications

• RPSGT certification required
• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• BLS (American Heart Association) with current card in-hand before start date
• Previous sleep lab experience, preferably in an inpatient hospital setting
• Professional affiliations and additional skill registrations are a plus
• Able to submit CV, skills sheet, BLS card and RPSGT certification with application

Education

• Associate degree required
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Polysomnography and sleep study scoring
• Home sleep study setup, download and troubleshooting
• Inpatient hospital workflow and safety protocols
• Use of sleep lab software and scoring systems
• Patient monitoring and recognition of clinical changes overnight
• Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with infection control and HIPAA standards
