Roles & Responsibilities

Assess, monitor, and deliver nursing care for Med/Surg and pediatric patients with compassion and clinical excellence
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the care team
Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately in the patient record
Perform timely patient assessments and escalate changes in condition to providers
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans with clarity and empathy
Participate in unit orientation and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington (or ability to obtain prior to start)
Clinical experience or training in Med/Surg and pediatric care
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; pediatric certifications (e.g., PALS) a plus
Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment and participating in orientation
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of med/surg nursing principles and pediatric care considerations
Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
Patient assessment and clinical documentation skills
Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and coordinate care
Compassionate family-centered care and patient education abilities
