Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care on the Med/Surg unit to adult patients
• Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, and document changes accurately
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, discharge plans and post-discharge care
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and maintain unit standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii or eligibility for licensure
• Clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing preferred
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong assessment, prioritization and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and handle the physical demands of bedside nursing
• Proof of required immunizations and successful background checks

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing practices and adult patient care
• Medication administration, IV therapy and wound care competency
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Teamwork mindset and willingness to support colleagues across shifts
