Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, self-scheduling with cyclic rotation, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to patients on a fast-paced Med Surg / Ortho unit
Care for patients recovering from total knee, hip, ankle, and shoulder replacements, as well as spine surgeries
Monitor vital signs, administer medications and IV therapies, and manage pain
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery plans

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or valid compact state license
BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg or Ortho nursing experience preferred
Ability to float to Med Surg, Rehab, or PCU as needed
Driver's license required at submittal for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help teammates
Flexibility to adapt to fast-changing patient needs
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
