Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU, managing 1:1 to 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios
• Titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics as needed
• Interpret telemetry strips and manage ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including attendings, fellows, and residents
• Participate in rapid response teams and codes as charge nurse when assigned
• Float to all inpatient units except Maternity/NICU as needed

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (must be current)
• Driver's license required at submittal to verify radius rule compliance
• Must pass an open-book exam during orientation with a 90% or higher
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
