Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, includes half of all weekends and winter holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in our LDRP unit
Triage patients and assess for active labor or complications
Function as the baby catcher and transition nurse for newborns
Administer Pitocin and monitor labor progression
Collaborate with OB and anesthesia providers (on-call response within 20 minutes)
Manage postpartum recovery and provide education to new families
Assist with gynecological surgical patients as needed
Maintain AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios and safety

Qualifications

At least 1 year of L&D experience in an LDRP setting
Must be able to triage and perform baby catcher/transition nurse duties
Current ALS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM certifications
Experience with Pitocin administration and reading EFM strips on OBIX system
Comfortable working in a rural hospital with limited resources
