Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to mothers and babies throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum continuum
• Independently manage LDRP assignments including attending deliveries and circulating in cesarean sections
• Assist with newborn transition and low-risk deliveries
• Titrate IV drips such as Pitocin, Magnesium, and Insulin per protocols
• Perform advanced fetal heart monitoring and triage patients
• Collaborate with a supportive team including 24/7 OB hospitalist, NNP, and anesthesia providers

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington State or compact license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent LDRP experience (will consider 1 year with multiple prior travel assignments)
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (AHA preferred)
• Intermediate or advanced fetal heart monitoring certification preferred
• Comfort with c-section circulation, independent deliveries, and newborn transition

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in labor and delivery, mother-baby, and postpartum nursing
• Proficiency in electronic fetal monitoring (Centricity Perinatal)
• Skilled in IV drip titration for Pitocin, Magnesium, and Insulin
• Strong patient triage and assessment skills
• Ability to float within the birthing center (no NICU or outside department floating)
