Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery / Postpartum

Location: Pendleton, OR

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), block scheduling, every other weekend, 1 major and 1 minor holiday as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $73 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns
Independently manage Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate drips
Monitor fetal heart tracings using central monitoring system
Assist in routine and intermediate nursery care
Collaborate with charge nurse and house supervisor to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Adapt quickly to fluctuating patient volume and acuity

Qualifications

Current Oregon RN license (or 90-day emergency license may be accepted)
BLS and NRP certifications required
Experience in L&D, postpartum, routine nursery, and intermediate nursery
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Strong skills in titrating drips and EFM interpretation

Knowledge & Skills

Titrating drips (Pitocin, insulin, Mag Sulfate)
EFM interpretation and central monitoring
Independent nursing in all areas of L&D/PP
Strong teamwork and adaptability in a dynamic unit
Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines
