Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 0630-1830 and 1830-0630; every other weekend required. Self-scheduling for core staff, travelers integrated into schedule.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a 33-bed ICU, managing a 1:2-3 nurse-to-patient ratio
Titrate cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips as needed
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, collaborating with tele techs
Care for a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis
Float to PCU or MedSurg when required, maintaining appropriate ratios

Qualifications

Active RN license (Nebraska or compact state)
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Valid driver's license required at submission
Must be able to pass an open-book exam during orientation
At least 1 year of ICU experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and intervention
Ventilator management (nasal cannula to vent)
Telemetry interpretation and strip documentation
Ability to titrate vasoactive and sedative drips
Team collaboration and effective communication
