Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to adult patients with trauma, cardiac conditions, stroke, sepsis, and respiratory distress
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications with precision
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, manage ventilators, CPAP/BiPap, and high-flow nasal cannula
Collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team including nurse aides and respiratory therapists
Float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed, maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios
Participate in open-book pass/fail exams during orientation to ensure clinical excellence

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
Driver's license required to verify distance from facility (50-mile radius rule)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for high-acuity patients
Proficiency in titrating drips and managing ventilators
Experience with telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Ability to float and adapt quickly to different unit ratios
Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced environment
