Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency nursing care across multiple facilities in Colorado Springs Zone 1
Float seamlessly between Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More
Manage diverse patient populations including trauma, stroke, STEMI, and other emergency conditions
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver life-saving interventions
Adapt quickly to varying patient ratios (1:4-5) and unit protocols while upholding high standards

Qualifications

Must have an active RN license in Colorado or compact state
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
At least one year of recent ER experience preferred
Ability to float within a 60-mile radius and work every other weekend and holiday
Comfortable with 12-hour night shifts and varied facility settings

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
Skilled in point-of-care lab testing
Strong critical thinking and adaptability in high-acuity environments
Excellent communication and teamwork skills across multiple sites
Ability to handle rapid patient turnover and varying case complexities
