Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and rapidly assess patients presenting to the emergency department
• Stabilize and manage acute medical and traumatic conditions across all ages
• Administer medications, IVs, and treatments safely and according to protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to deliver efficient care
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the chart
• Provide clear patient and family education and compassionate support
• Participate in emergency response and departmental quality improvement efforts
• Maintain required certifications and ensure compliance with facility policies

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in Emergency Room (ER) nursing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Negative TB screening documented within 12 months of contract start
• Comfort and proven ability working 12-hour night shifts
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and communication skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and acute care assessment for adult and pediatric patients
• Emergency interventions, trauma care basics, and rapid stabilization
• IV insertion, medication administration, and monitoring skills
• Proficient clinical documentation and familiarity with EHR workflows
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and collaborate in fast-paced teams
• Patient/family education and culturally sensitive care practices
