Location: College Station, Texas

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: Days 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM or Nights 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, with midshift options; every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population, including pediatrics and trauma
Manage critical drips, interpret telemetry strips, and respond to codes and STEMIs
Collaborate with a dedicated team of physicians, midlevels, and techs to ensure optimal outcomes
Triage patients, handle stroke alerts, and stabilize multisystem trauma before transfer
Float as a helping hand when needed, keeping patient ratios at a manageable 1:3-4

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact state
2+ years of recent Emergency Room experience
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Must pass advanced dysrhythmia exam (83%) before start
First-time travelers welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency nursing and trauma care
Pediatric care and cardiac/stroke management
Drip management including pressors and sedation
Proficient in reading and interpreting cardiac rhythms
Comfortable working in a fast-paced Level III trauma center
