Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, timely nursing care to emergency department patients
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients using sound clinical judgment and urgency
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans
• Perform procedures and interventions common to emergency nursing with skill and confidence
• Document patient conditions, treatments, and outcomes accurately and promptly
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment plans, and follow-up care
• Contribute to a positive, efficient ED environment by supporting colleagues and workflows

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license as required by the facility (state licensure per facility requirements)
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred or required depending on facility standards
• Emergency department experience preferred; new grads with strong ED training welcome to apply
• Ability to work rotating 12.5-hour shifts, handle high-acuity situations, and prioritize effectively
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency pharmacology knowledge
• IV therapy, wound care, and common ED procedures
• Strong clinical decision-making and rapid assessment abilities
• Electronic medical record documentation and basic computer skills
• Compassionate patient- and family-centered care approach
