Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with one weekday call per week and one weekend call per month

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform open heart surgeries including coronary artery bypass and valve replacements
Assist in endovascular procedures such as TAVR and thoracic surgeries
Scrub in for heart cases to hold the heart and assist with chest closure
Collaborate with a dedicated CVOR team in a state-of-the-art 16-suite unit
Float to general OR as needed when no CVOR cases are scheduled
Participate in on-call rotation for weeknights and weekends

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or compact state
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience with open heart and endovascular cases
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Scrubbing experience required for heart cases
Experience with Epic EMR is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in open heart surgery and endovascular techniques
Proficient in Epic electronic medical records
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes
Knowledge of CVOR instrumentation and sterile technique
