Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (days) and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (nights) rotating, with weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver expert critical care to cardiovascular ICU patients, including cardiac surgery recovery and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
Manage life-support equipment such as IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
Assist with bedside procedures like bronchoscopy, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, and epidural placements
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of intensivists, surgeons, and specialists to optimize patient outcomes
Float to other ICUs and telemetry units as needed, ensuring seamless patient care

Qualifications

Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, with CVICU strongly preferred
Level I Trauma experience is a must
Proven proficiency in IV therapy and strong IV skills
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam and SIMs lab skills (Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes)
Comfortable with floating to other units and using Cerner EMR

Knowledge & Skills

Critical Care and Cardiovascular ICU expertise
Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Cardiac surgery recovery and bedside procedures
Cerner EMR system proficiency
Strong communication and teamwork skills
