Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee the radiology program to ensure high-quality imaging services and timely reporting of studies
Manage daily supervision of radiology staff, conduct timely evaluations, and ensure competency through training
Create, maintain, and enforce radiology policies and procedures to meet regulatory and accreditation standards
Lead the radiation protection monitoring program and perform lead apron testing to keep staff safe
Coordinate PACS training and resolve radiology transcription issues to streamline workflow
Ensure radiology equipment is properly maintained and inspected and manage equipment quotes
Work with clinic administrators, medical directors, and Finance to maintain the chargemaster and improve revenue capture
Prepare required reports and ensure all quality assurance/control activities are completed

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) required
Registered Mammographer preferred
Registered Ultrasound Technologist preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Minimum 5 years experience in Radiology Management and supervision
Minimum 5 years experience as a Radiology Technologist
PACS training required; CT and MRI technologist experience preferred
Knowledge of MQSA requirements and accreditation/regulatory standards

Education

Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations for radiology services
Experience with digitized imaging and PACS workflows
Proven skills in quality assurance and quality control processes
Ability to manage radiation safety and protection monitoring programs
Excellent oral and written communication and documentation skills
Ability to multi-task, train staff, and create effective radiology manuals
Experience working with finance on chargemaster and revenue optimization
