Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in accordance with facility standards
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor and document patient status, reporting changes to the care team
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Support patient education and discharge planning to promote positive outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and follow facility policies
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential — active and in good standing
- Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
- Comfort working 12.5-hour shifts as scheduled
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach
- Ability to meet facility immunization and onboarding requirements
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program; high school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid fundamentals of clinical assessment and patient observation
- Medication administration and basic IV/route familiarity as required by unit policy
- Charting and documentation best practices
- Infection control, safety standards, and patient advocacy
- Time management and prioritization in a busy clinical environment
