Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts with varied start times

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields for cardiovascular and thoracic procedures
Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies during open heart and vascular surgeries
Set up and operate robotic systems (Da Vinci XI) for minimally invasive cases
Ensure all surgical equipment is sterilized, organized, and functioning properly
Collaborate with nursing and surgical teams to provide seamless patient care
Participate in on-call rotation for emergency and weekend cases

Qualifications

Current Washington State Surgical Tech license required
BLS certification required (AHA)
CVOR or cardiovascular surgery experience preferred
Robotics experience a plus; willing to train
COVID-19 vaccine required
Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records
Strong scrubbing skills for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgery (Da Vinci XI)
