Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care for residents including assistance with activities of daily living
Perform safe transfers and mobility assistance while maintaining resident dignity
Monitor and document vital signs, changes in condition, and care given
Follow care plans and communicate observations clearly to nursing staff
Assist with feeding, grooming, and toileting while promoting independence
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Collaborate with teammates to ensure residents receive timely, person-centered care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain upon hire
Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements (TB test, immunizations)
Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
Reliable, punctual, and able to work an 8-hour shift schedule
Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic resident care
Skill in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Familiarity with charting and basic clinical documentation
Understanding of infection control practices and PPE use
Good interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset
Ability to follow care plans and adapt to resident needs
