Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, and other clinical observations accurately
• Assist the nursing team with safe patient transfers and mobility support
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record to support continuity of care
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to keep patients and staff safe
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to the nurse in charge
• Build strong, respectful relationships with patients and families to support comfort and dignity

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
• Valid CNA certification in Georgia or eligibility to obtain state certification
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Willingness to pass background check and any required health screenings
• Comfort with physical aspects of patient care and ability to work 12.5-hour shifts
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Basic charting and documentation skills; experience with electronic medical records a plus
• Strong observation skills and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately
• Dependable, punctual, and professional bedside manner
