Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound exams across general, vascular, and OB-GYN studies to support accurate diagnoses
• Recognize normal and abnormal anatomy and pathology and escalate findings appropriately
• Assist with image-guided procedures such as biopsies, drainages, and needle placements in the OR when needed
• Document studies and communicate results using PACS (InteleRad) and EMR (Allscripts) with timely, clear notes
• Adhere to all exam protocols, safety standards, and departmental policies to ensure consistent patient care
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for a population spanning pediatrics to geriatrics
• Collaborate with the care team, communicate professionally with management, and contribute positively to the unit culture
• Share knowledge and mentor colleagues when opportunities arise

Qualifications

• RDMS (required)
• BLS (required)
• NH MIRT Licensure (required)
• Minimum ~1 year of clinical acute care experience (hospital/acute setting) with exposure to general, vascular, and OB-GYN sonography
• Comfort performing ultrasound-guided procedures and assisting in the OR
• Strong understanding of sonographic physics and scanning techniques
• Positive references and a track record of reliability and teamwork
• Preferred certifications: RVT, OB-GYN certification, AB

Knowledge & Skills

• Anatomy and pathology recognition — know normal vs abnormal
• Sonographic physics and practical scanning techniques
• Clinical acute care workflow and patient triage in an inpatient setting
• Experience with Siemens Acuson S200 and GE Logiq E10 equipment
• Proficiency with PACS (InteleRad) and EMR systems (Allscripts)
• Comfort working independently on night shifts and collaborating during day handoffs
• Procedure support skills (biopsies, drainages, thrombin injections, breast/OR placements)
