Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and document resident vital signs, changes in condition, and communicate concerns promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility, following facility protocols to reduce fall risk
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and charting in accordance with facility standards
• Adhere to infection control practices and promote a clean, safe environment for residents
• Offer emotional support and engage residents with dignity and respect to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (T-CNA accepted); must meet state of New Mexico requirements
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus but new grads with solid clinical skills are welcome
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Reliable, professional, and patient-centered approach to caregiving

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate required (T-CNA accepted)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with assisted living and skilled nursing routines and documentation
• Comfortable with ADLs, feeding assistance, grooming, and toileting support
• Basic vital signs measurement and recognizing signs of clinical change
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize in a busy clinical setting
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
