Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, varied 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts with flexible start times; block scheduling available

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist surgeons during cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and robotic procedures in the CVOR
Prepare and maintain sterile fields while anticipating the needs of the surgical team
Collaborate with RNs and physicians to ensure smooth case flow across 22-45 daily procedures
Support both open and minimally invasive cases, including Da Vinci XI robotic procedures
Respond to call shifts and provide backup coverage for emergent cases
Float to Main OR when needed and assist with vascular cases as appropriate

Qualifications

Active Washington state license required
Current BLS certification
Robotics experience preferred but not required - training provided
Scrub experience preferred for RNs but not mandatory
Ability to take 8-9 call shifts per month with 30-minute response time

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Familiarity with EPIC EMR documentation
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced CVOR environment
Willingness to learn robotic-assisted procedures
Flexibility to float between CVOR and Main OR as needed
