Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmia strips each shift
Provide compassionate care for patients with CHF, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, and post-cath needs
Support patients recovering from total joint replacements with expert guidance
Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to deliver seamless care
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed, showcasing your adaptability
Work alongside nurse aides and respiratory therapists to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Some background with CVA and TIA patients preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation time
Total joint replacement experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Cardiac drips at set rates such as Diltiazem/Cardizem
BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatment support
Patient ratios of 1:5 with strong teamwork
Cerner documentation system familiarity
