Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to neuro-telemetry patients including those recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and spinal surgeries
Monitor and interpret EKGs while safely titrating critical drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team to deliver fast-paced, patient-centered care on a bustling 32-bed unit
Float to other telemetry units and ICU overflow as needed, showcasing your adaptability and clinical expertise
Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR and participate in bedside handoff reporting to ensure seamless continuity of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
Neuro experience highly preferred
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
Ability to successfully complete SIMs Lab skills assessment on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
Experience safely titrating cardiac and insulin drips
Comfortable caring for trached patients, stroke recovery, TBI, and post-op spinal surgery cases
Proficient with Cerner EMR and WOW documentation
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced environment
