Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Bakersfield, California
Start Date: 06-01-2026

Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts with rotating weekday call after 4:30 PM, rotating weekend call, and rotating holiday on-call
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying procedures with precision and care
- Operate GE imaging equipment and utilize Radnet & Merge Unity systems to deliver accurate diagnostic results
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
- Float to Mercy Downtown location when needed to support patient access across the community
- Maintain equipment, follow safety protocols, and contribute to a smooth department workflow
Qualifications
- Active CA NMTL license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine
- Comfortable working with GE equipment and Radnet & Merge Unity systems
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying procedures
- Ability to manage 5-10 scans per day with attention to detail
- Flexible and willing to float between nearby facilities
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
