Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities like feeding, bathing, and ambulating to make every day comfortable
• Monitor and record vital signs and weights, keeping the care team informed and ready to respond
• Provide compassionate support by listening and responding to resident needs with empathy
• Maintain accurate intake and output records to support personalized care plans
• Follow universal precautions and infection control procedures to keep everyone safe
• Collaborate with RNs and LPNs to deliver prompt, high-quality care aligned with each resident's plan
• Help orient new residents and families to the unit, easing their transition with kindness
• Report changes in condition quickly so the care team can act fast and effectively

Qualifications

• Active Maine CNA License required
• Minimum 3 years of experience in long-term care or skilled rehabilitation settings
• Strong ability to take vital signs and assist with activities of daily living
• Excellent communication, flexibility, and problem-solving skills
• Passion for providing excellent care to long-term care residents and rehabilitation patients

Education

• Must hold an active Maine CNA License

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with feeding, bathing, ambulating, and skin care
• Proficient at monitoring and documenting intake, output, and vital signs
• Comfortable working with empathy and maintaining professionalism in challenging situations
• Team-oriented with a diplomatic and supportive approach to collaboration
