Registered Nurse - PCU/Med Surg/Oncology
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Start Date: 06-22-2026
End Date: 09-21-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients across PCU and Med/Surg units
- Monitor and titrate drips including insulin and Cardizem while ensuring patient safety
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians
- Float to same-level-of-care units to support team needs and patient flow
- Perform hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety
- Support patients from diagnosis through remission or provide peaceful end-of-life care
Qualifications
- Active RN license with at least 1 year of PCU or oncology experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; ONS/ONCC preferred
- Experience with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000) welcomed
- EPIC experience within the last 6 months is helpful but not required
- Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills for mixed PCU/Med-Surg/Oncology population
- Comfort with chemotherapy administration and common drips (heparin, Cardizem, Protonix)
- Ability to titrate drips and manage ventilated patients
- Excellent communication and teamwork in a culturally diverse environment
- Willingness to float and support colleagues across units
