Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Coordinate comprehensive nursing care for residents across the lifespan in a long-term care setting
Lead and supervise CNAs, LPNs, and support staff while ensuring safe, high-quality care
Develop individualized, goal-oriented care plans based on scientific principles and resident needs
Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring for effectiveness and safety
Educate residents and families about conditions, procedures, and coping strategies
Respond calmly and effectively during emergencies, making sound clinical judgments
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes thoroughly in the electronic health record
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to optimize resident outcomes

Qualifications

Active Alaska nursing license required
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ATT certifications required
Minimum 1 year of long-term care nursing experience
Flu vaccine documentation required
Ability to provide two fingerprint cards upon acceptance

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to prioritize care based on acuity and resident preferences
Competence in delegation and supervision of support staff
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
